About us

Exhale Adventures is not just about personal transformation; it’s about creating a collective impact that resonates far beyond our retreats. We believe in the power of community and the healing energy that flows when we come together to support one another.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that connection is key to our well-being, and that by supporting local women, we can create positive change that ripples through families, communities, and the earth. Every retreat is an opportunity to not only nourish your soul but also empower women in each destination.

At Exhale Adventures, we honour the interconnectedness of all beings and the sacred oneness that unites us with the earth, each other, and the universe. Join us in celebrating the beauty of this unity on our transformative retreats.

We are dedicated to uplifting and honoring the skills and knowledge of local women by ethically hiring and fairly compensating them to share their expertise with our retreat participants. This ensures that their voices are heard, their contributions are valued, and their communities are strengthened.

In addition to supporting local women, we are committed to giving back to the communities we visit. A percentage of our retreat income is donated to initiatives that promote healthy land practices, support indigenous peoples, and aid women and children in need in the international locations where we host our retreats. By investing in these causes, we are sowing the seeds of positive change and creating a legacy of compassion and support.

I grew up on an off-grid farm, surrounded by the beauty of big Alberta skies and the wonders of nature. With a homeschool education, I’m grateful to have had the freedom to run barefoot and explore the wild, fostering my love, curiosity, and confidence in the world around me. Now blessed to have a home, nestled in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia with my partner and daughter, I find joy in beekeeping, leading yoga retreats, travel, playing and exploring in the awe-inspiring outdoors.

In my 20s, I became a hairstylist which over the years has profoundly shaped my journey by fostering connections with diverse individuals. This experience accentuated my belief in the interconnectedness of all beings, honing my communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to hold space and connect empathetically on a deeper level.

Yoga has been a beacon of light in my life since my teens and I continue to learn and grow as a dedicated student. I have 200 Hatha RYT and 200 Vinyasa RYT with continuing certifications in Anusara yoga, yin yoga, trauma informed somatic training, sound healing, breath work and hiking wilderness first aid.

With over 10 years of teaching and over two years of facilitating various wellness weekend retreats, as well as guiding hikes and teaching yoga in backcountry lodges, my path flowered into creating Exhale Adventures with my soul partner-Johanna. Building a career based on my passion for sharing my deep love for inner work and nature with others.

Through uplifting, dynamic teachings and adventures, I’m honoured to assist students in shedding self-imposed limitations, fostering a profound connection with their inner selves, breath, the earth, the web of life and the possibility of living a vibrant, joyous existence.

Growing up surrounded by nature in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, I found solace in the majestic peaks and dense pine forests of Banff and Yoho National Parks where I spent my youth.

After obtaining an honours bachelor of Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism, I spent much of my adult life as a hiking guide, lodge chef, and an outdoor leader for teens at a semester school in Colorado. My connection to the natural world runs deep, eventually shaping me into a steward of the 54 acres of land I now reside on in the beautiful Kootenay Mountains of British Columbia, where I have created a retreat business with my husband Jon and son Wiley (and 2 dogs Sunny and Buddy).

I have been running retreats with Chevayo for over 2 years out of For-rest Retreat, including monthly ‘Soul Sessions’ (3 hour community wellness sessions), Yoga Nidra and soundbath offerings, full day and weekend wellness retreats, mountain bike & yoga retreats and hike & paddle retreats.

Guided by my intimate bond with the land, I am on a lifelong journey to share the wonders of nature with others, inspiring them to cherish and protect the precious ecosystems that have shaped me into the person I have become.

I am a certified natural chef and hiking guide, a retreat owner and retreat facilitator. I spend my free time skiing, mountain biking, hiking, drumming and writing music with my band and building trails on our property for others to enjoy.
